KYWI Pouch 40º Angled Pistol Magazine Pouch - ESSTAC

The KYWI single-pistol 40º angled magazine carrier from the American brand ESSTAC has been designed for shooters seeking a faster, more natural magazine draw. This model incorporates a rigid Tegris base with a fixed 40° cant, optimizing movement ergonomics and reducing reload time.

Its angled design is intended to carry the magazine on the opposite side of the dominant hand so the magazine can be drawn with that hand while maintaining control of the weapon with the dominant hand. This angle significantly improves fluidity in dynamic reloads, although it reduces retention security compared to other vertical designs, so it is recommended exclusively for sport use.

The body of the carrier is made from Cordura-type laminate and integrates the well-known KYWI system, a removable and replaceable internal Kydex insert that keeps the mouth always open and provides firm retention without the need for flaps or closures. The insert is secured with Velcro, allowing it to be easily replaced depending on the magazine type.

This model uses a removable 1” Velcro One-Wrap attachment system, being compatible only with belts up to 5cm. The reverse side incorporates soft female Velcro and double-sided Velcro strips for stable anchoring during movement.

Important: there are specific right- and left-handed versions, and you must always choose the one corresponding to your dominant hand.

The right-handed model, mounted on the left side of the body, is angled toward the rear and is the correct option for right-handed shooters.
The left-handed model, mounted on the right side of the body, is also angled toward the rear and is specifically designed for left-handed shooters.
