The Blastshield B2 MILSPEC Cerakote ballistic glasses from Gatorz are designed to provide protection, comfort, and a wide field of view. Their wraparound lens expands coverage without compromising peripheral vision, while the ventilation system and anti-fog treatment help maintain clear vision in any situation.
The lower lens cutout makes them easier to use with rifles. In addition, the ICM interchangeable lens system (Innovative Clamp Mechanism) allows lenses to be changed quickly and easily to adapt to different light conditions and operational needs.
The lenses feature ballistic protection, passing tests in accordance with ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2015 and MIL-PRF-32432A. The lenses also feature a hydrophobic and oleophobic treatment that repels water, oils, and grease.
The frame is made from aerospace-grade aluminum with CNC machining that provides strength while keeping weight very low, and a Cerakote finish that adds greater paint protection. The Ghost-style temples are ultra-thin and adjustable, allowing us to wear the glasses with helmets or hearing protection without issue.

- ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2015, Z87+ rating: impact test with a 6.35 mm steel ball at approximately 45.7 m/s, with no cracking, fragmentation, or detachment of the lenses.
- MIL-PRF-32432A, clause 4.8.4: protection against ballistic fragmentation, with a test of two impacts from a .15 caliber projectile at a speed between 700 and 725 feet per second.
After a significant impact, GATORZ recommends replacing the glasses, even if there is no visible damage, as their protective capability may have been reduced.
