Nextorch TA22 800 Lum. Pen-Style Handheld Flashlight

The Nextorch TA22 handheld flashlight combines the performance of a tactical flashlight with the slim, lightweight form of a penlight. Its design makes it easy to carry every day in a pocket, uniform, vest, or work bag, delivering a maximum output of 850 lumens and a beam distance of up to 95 meters (104 yd).

It is especially well suited as an auxiliary flashlight for law enforcement professionals, security guards, emergency personnel, or any user who needs a compact and reliable light source.

Its rotary selector lets you choose between three operating modes: lockout, duty, and tactical. Lockout mode prevents accidental activation, while the other two modes adapt the rear switch behavior for operational or everyday use.

In tactical mode, a light press momentarily activates the maximum output of 850 lumens. Fully pressing the switch gives direct access to the One-Step-Strobe system, activating strobe mode without needing to cycle through other brightness levels.

In duty mode, the flashlight can be used momentarily or continuously. It offers three output levels of 15, 150 and 850 lumens, allowing the light to be adapted to any task.

The two-stage rear switch lets us operate the flashlight with one hand. The rotary selector has clearly defined positions, making it easy to change modes even while wearing gloves.

The head incorporates high-hardness nanoceramic elements, designed to concentrate force on a small surface area and make it easier to break glass in emergency situations. The body also features an anti-roll design that helps prevent the flashlight from moving when placed on a surface.

It is made from A6061-T6 aerospace aluminum with a wear-resistant anodized finish. Its construction withstands drops from a height of up to 2 meters (6,6 ft) and has IPX8 protection, allowing submersion up to 2 meters deep.

It comes with a rechargeable 10880 650 mAh battery. The USB-C port is integrated directly into the battery, so it must be removed for charging. The light indicator around the switch shows the remaining power level:

• Solid blue light: 75–100 %
• Flashing blue light: 50–75 %
• Solid red light: 25–50 %
• Flashing red light: 0–25 %

The battery is replaceable and has overcharge protection. Its stated lifespan reaches approximately 500 charge cycles.

The NEXTORCH TA22 uses exclusively a 10880-format rechargeable battery. Although its dimensions are similar to those of two AAA batteries, it must not be used with two 10440 batteries and operation with AAA batteries is not guaranteed.
