The AETERNUS binocular NVGs from the American brand Low Light Innovations offer a revolutionary night vision system that redefines industry standards with impressive features and performance.

The binoculars are powered by a single CR123 battery, the AETERNUS from Low Light Innovations stands out for offering us a greater battery capacity. The brand's developers removed the IR illuminator from the binoculars, which helps extend the battery life up to 40 hours.

The weight is also one of the strong points of this binocular, weighing only 535 grams (without battery). According to the manufacturer, the AETERNUS binoculars feature the most durable and user-friendly fixed housing on the market, with improved structural integrity that provides a watertight system.

The binoculars are submersible up to 18 meters (60 feet) which makes them suitable for amphibious operations. With a focus range of 9.8 inches to infinity, a field of view of 40 degrees and an interpupillary adjustment of 51 to 73 mm, the AETERNUS represents the pinnacle of optical excellence. Its compatibility with MX-10160 optics, PVS-14 eyepiece and objective further enhances its functionality.

This unit comes mounted with MILSPEC lenses from the USA, but other types of lenses can be mounted to reduce costs (OE), or RPO lenses, which are lighter but at a higher price.

Each binocular is meticulously assembled, purged and tested individually with precision tools. It must pass rigorous quality and durability tests.

Among other tests, it undergoes drop tests to meet MIL-STD-810G standards. These consist of 26 drops from 1.22 meters (4 feet) onto concrete.

All intensifier tubes may have small image imperfections represented by spots of less than 0.3mm. There are generally only one or two visible imperfections, but these do not affect vision as they blend into the image being viewed.

The FOM (Figure of Merit) is a simple measure of a night vision device’s performance. It is calculated by multiplying resolution by the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The higher the FOM, the better the quality of vision.

They have Auto-Gating, this technology allows the device to automatically adjust the amount of light amplification in real-time to adapt to changes in ambient brightness. This feature is particularly useful in situations where there are intense light sources, such as vehicle headlights or urban lights, that could dazzle the device and affect image quality. This helps maintain a clear and sharp image without compromising the user's vision in variable lighting environments.

The NVT come with a 2-year warranty for manufacturing defects, while the ECHO and ECHO + come with a 7-year warranty for manufacturing defects.

They are available in WP with white phosphor, or GP with green phosphor.
