The Combat Application Tourniquet® or better known as the CAT Gen. 7 is, without a doubt, the most used and recognized tactical tourniquet worldwide. This seventh generation incorporates significant design improvements that increase effectiveness, durability and make self-application easier even in extreme situations.

The windlass has been reinforced to offer greater durability and resistance to breakage, while the redesigned buckle improves stability and fastening effectiveness. Its larger working diameter allows for more efficient occlusion of blood flow.

The new design includes non-slip reliefs that considerably improve grip, even with gloves or wet hands, as well as a quick locking system for the windlass with bilateral back-up that provides additional strength and greater safety during use.

The U.S. Army Research Institute has determined that the CAT® Gen. 7 is 100% effective at stopping blood flow in upper and lower extremities.
