The BNVD-1431 binocular NVGs from the Asian brand ARGUS offer in these renewed NVG MK2 glasses a very versatile modern device, features manual gain (manual gain tubes for a better fit), low battery indicator and built-in IR lighting.
This brand became famous with the first generation BNVD MK1 as it allowed many users to own an articulated binocular NVG at a more affordable price. The housings have been renewed in this model and each of them is tested under vacuum, at positive pressure, and in nitrogen purge equipment to ensure they are water-resistant.
They can be submerged up to 2 meters for 30 minutes. The binoculars are powered by a Fischer 4-pin battery pack. Helmet mount adapter NOT included.
This unit comes mounted with US MILSPEC glasses, but other types of lenses can be mounted to reduce costs (OE), or RPO lenses, which are lighter but at a higher price.
Each binocular is assembled, purged, and tested one by one, meticulously, with precision tools. Dthey just passed a few rigorous quality and durability tests.
Among many other tests, they are subjected to drop tests to meet MIL-STD-810G standardsThis consists of 26 falls from 1.22 meters (4 feet) high onto concrete.
All intensifier tubes may have some imperfections in the image represented by spots of less than 0.3mm, generally there are only one or two visible imperfections, but these do not affect vision since it simply blends with the image we are viewing.
The FOM (Metric figure) is a simple way to calculate the performance of a viewfinder, it is easily calculated by multiplying the resolution x the noise of the image we see through the viewfinder. The higher the FOM, the better the quality of vision.
They have Auto-Gating, this technology allows the device to automatically adjust the amount of light amplification in real-time to adapt to changes in ambient brightness. This feature is particularly useful in situations where there are intense light sources, such as vehicle headlights or urban lights, that could dazzle the device and affect image quality. This helps maintain a clear and sharp image without compromising the user's vision in variable lighting environments.
They are available in WP or white phosphorus, and GP or green phosphorus.
