SureFire EP3 Plugs

EP3 earplugs protect your hearing without interfering with your ability to hear sounds or routine conversations. Its dual-chamber design fits most people and provides a noise reduction rating (NRR) of 24dB.

Sounds, at safe levels, can pass into the ear canal, while potentially harmful noises (over 85 dB) are reduced by a patented design that incorporates a special noise reduction filter. The EP3s include attached filter caps, which can be inserted for additional protection and block out lower level noise, such as that heard on an airplane, where hearing ambient sounds or conversations is not critical. Sonic Defenders are made from a soft yet durable hypoallergenic polymer that provides all-day comfort and long product life (up to 6+ months, depending on use and care). Retention rings secure the earplugs in place, while the soft, adjustable double-flanged stems provide secure seals in the ear canals. A low-profile design means the EP3 can be worn with a helmet or mask and included with your phone or headset.

The EP3 also serves as a headset for SureFire hearing protection and other compatible radio communication systems by simply removing the noise-reducing filter and connecting the headset to the system.

NOTE: The EP3 headset will not provide hearing protection if the noise reduction filter is removed.
