The NVG binoculars BNVD-1431 from the Asian brand ARGUS offers in these renewed nvg MK2 glasses a very versatile modern device, it has manual gain ( manual gain tubes for better adjustment), low battery indicator and built-in IR illumination .

This brand became famous with the first generation BNVD MK1 as it gave many users the ability to own an articulating nvg binocular at a cheaper price. The casings or housings have been renewed in this model and each of them are tested under vacuum, in positive pressure and in nitrogen purging equipment to make them water resistant .

They can be submerged up to 2 meters for 30 minutes. The binoculars are powered by a 4-pin Fischer battery pack . Helmet mounting adapter NOT included.

This unit comes mounted with MILSPEC lenses from the USA , but other types of lenses can be mounted to reduce costs (OE), or RPO lenses, lighter, but with a higher price.

Each binocular is assembled, purged and tested one by one, meticulously, with precision tools. They rigorous quality and resistance tests.

Among many other tests, they are subjected to drop tests to comply with MIL-STD-810G standards , this consists of 26 drops from 1.22 meters (4 feet) high onto concrete.

All intensifier tubes may have some imperfection in the image represented by spots of less than 0.3mm , generally there are only one or two visible imperfections, but these do not affect the vision since they simply blend with the image we are seeing. .

The FOM (Figure of metric) is a simple way to calculate the performance of a viewfinder, it is easily calculated by multiplying the resolution x the noise of the image that we see through the viewfinder. The higher the FOM, the better the quality of vision.

They have Auto-Gating , this technology allows the device to automatically adjust the amount of light amplification in real time to adapt to changes in ambient luminosity. This feature is particularly useful in situations where there are bright light sources, such as vehicle headlights or street lights, which could dazzle the device and affect image quality. This helps maintain a clear, crisp image without compromising the user's vision in varying lighting environments.

They are available in W.P. or white phosphorus, and GP or green phosphorus.
