The OTB (Over The Beach) Maritime Assault Mid sneakers from the American brand Altama are made of 1000D Cordura, an abrasion-resistant material with quick drainage capabilities. They are designed for activities in maritime environments.
Their design allows us to use them for both tactical operations and everyday use. It is recommended to change the insole if we are not going to use the shoes in marine environments as this will reduce foot sweating. The included insole is made of PU Ultron, a non-absorbent material designed to drain water as quickly as possible and is not very breathable.
The shoes have ABS support to provide us with more stability and support on rough terrain, when climbing ladders, etc. The flat laces are designed to avoid pressure when wearing fins.
The rubber sole, as could be expected, grips perfectly on wet or damp surfaces. The shoes have drainage areas at the front. The Altama OTB shoes do not contain metallic elements that are susceptible to rusting.
The Air Mesh lining helps to eliminate sweat and moisture from the foot quickly. These Maritime Assault Mid boots weigh about 385 grams (13.5 oz.).
