Revenant MILSPEC Ballistic Glasses - Gatorz

The Gatorz Revenant MILSPEC ballistic glasses represent the modern evolution of the iconic Wraptor design, combining aggressive wraparound styling with high-performance construction. Made in the USA with an adjustable aluminum frame, MILSPEC ballistic lenses and advanced TruRay™ optics, they are designed to provide protection, visual clarity and comfort in demanding environments, for professional, law-enforcement, military or outdoor use.

Their adjustable, ventilated aluminum frame provides a firm fit and airflow that reduces fogging. The Ghost temples made of thin aluminum can be shaped to suit each face, and the silicone nose bridge with a metal core allows for a precise fit.

The MILSPEC lenses feature anti-fog treatment, UV 400 protection, hydro-oleophobic coating that repels oil and grease, and they block 100% of UVA/UVB radiation. The frame and lens combination is designed to meet ballistic and impact protection standards, offering a reliable solution for users who need durable, lightweight and adjustable glasses.

Available lenses

• ANSI Z87.1+ MILSPEC Ballistic Smoke: non-polarized gray lens that reduces intense light and enhances color perception. Recommended for sunny days and everyday use. Visible light transmission: VLT 17%.
• ANSI Z87.1+ MILSPEC Ballistic Inferno Photochromic: non-polarized photochromic lens that changes from clear to smoke when exposed to UV light. Recommended for indoor/outdoor transitions, day and night use, and changing light conditions. Visible light transmission: VLT 15-81%.
• MILSPEC Ballistic Smoke Optimized Polarized OPz with Anti-Fog: optimized polarized smoke lens designed to reduce glare and improve visual comfort in high-brightness environments.

Note: photochromic lenses depend on temperature and direct exposure to UV light. They may darken more in cold temperatures and may not transition correctly if UV light is blocked, for example by vehicle windshields, caps or other items that prevent direct exposure to the sun.

ANSI Z87.1+ protection

The Gatorz Revenant MILSPEC comply with the ANSI/ISEA Z87.1 2015 standard, designed for protection against impacts and other hazards such as optical radiation, liquid splashes, dust and fine particles. The impact test involves a steel ball of 0.64 cm (1/4") fired at 45.7 m/s (150 ft/s), without the lens cracking, breaking or coming loose.

MILSPEC ballistic protection

The MILSPEC ballistic lenses comply with MIL PRF 32432A, clause 4.8.4 for protection against ballistic fragmentation. The test involves two impacts from a .15 caliber projectile at a velocity between 213 and 221 m/s (700-725 ft/s), without the lens cracking, breaking or coming loose.

If the original lenses installed at the factory by Gatorz are removed or replaced, the frame and lens combination may no longer meet the ANSI Z87+ or MILSPEC protection standards. This warning does not apply to the Gatorz ICM interchangeable system, designed specifically for lens changes by the user.

After a significant impact, even if no visible damage is apparent, the eye protection capability may be compromised. Gatorz recommends replacing the glasses after any significant impact.
