The Spanish Light Infantry is a branch of the armed forces dedicated to fast, agile, and mobile operationsIt is characterized by its ability to move quickly and efficiently in difficult terrains, such as mountains, forests, or urban areas, where the use of heavy vehicles is limited.
Unlike heavier units, which are usually equipped with armor or large artillery, the light infantry carries lighter equipment and is capable of acting independently on short-duration missions.
