The Holosun HS407K-X2 RD red dot sight is an open reflex optic in an ultra-compact format, designed for subcompact pistols and concealed carry setups. Its slim profile, approximate dimensions of 40 × 25 × 24 mm, and weight of around 30 grams make it possible to add an optical aiming reference while keeping the setup compact and lightweight.

Its housing is made from CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminum, with a matte black anodized finish that improves resistance to wear and corrosion. It features IP67 water and dust protection, as well as vibration resistance of up to 5,000 G, offering a robust build for demanding use.

It incorporates a fixed 6 MOA red dot reticle, which provides a visible aiming reference that is easy to acquire. Its approximately 19.5 × 14.7 mm window has multicoated anti-reflective lenses to promote light transmission and image clarity. It offers 1x magnification, a parallax-free design, and unlimited eye relief, allowing use with both eyes open.

Illumination is adjusted manually through 12 brightness levels: 10 for daytime use and 2 compatible with night vision devices. The Lock Mode function locks the buttons to prevent accidental changes to the settings during transport or use, while the memory function retains the last selected setting.

It is powered by a CR1632 battery housed in a side tray secured with a screw, allowing it to be replaced without removing the sight. It offers battery life of up to 50,000 hours at brightness level 6, depending on usage conditions. Shake Awake technology helps reduce power consumption by turning off the reticle after a period of inactivity and reactivating it when motion is detected.

It features a Holosun K mounting footprint for installation on slides with a compatible interface or using the corresponding adapter plate. It includes 1/2 MOA windage and elevation adjustments per click, with a range of ±30 MOA. It comes with a multi-tool, cleaning cloth, and user manual.
