The German Gen. II Large backpack from the German brand MILTEC is a high-capacity load-carrying backpack with a volume of 65 liters. It is made of 600D polyester with a polyurethane coating that makes it partially water-resistant. It also includes a rain cover in the top pocket for heavier rain.
This German rucksack is divided into several compartments. At the front, it has a 29x22cm (11.4"x8.7") compartment with a completely plain interior and no pockets or attachment points. On the sides are elongated compartments measuring 35x16cm (13.8" x 6.3"). Their zippers extend halfway down the pocket, providing a good opening.
Finally, the main compartment measures 62.5 x 35 x 18.5cm (24.6" x 13.8" x 7.3"). Inside, there is a pocket at the back where reinforcement can be inserted to make the backpack more rigid. Alternatively, this pocket can be used to separate the items stored inside.
The outer area of this German Gen. II Large backpack is covered with MOLLE both on the front and on the sides that will allow us to anchor additional accessories. It also includes two longitudinal compression straps that we can use to carry, for example, a mat.
The back of the backpack is padded and includes high-density PE foam 270 g/m² in the shoulder pads and PE foam 225 g/m² in the back area. It has a chest strap that is adjustable in height and width.
In the lower area, it has a padded waist belt that is non-removable and will help the backpack stay better secured. The shoulder straps have buckles on the bottom to facilitate putting on the backpack. It also includes a D-Ring on each shoulder strap.
The backpack has an approximate weight of 1.4 kg (49.38oz). It has a carrying handle on the top. In conclusion, this backpack is an excellent value option for those looking for a large capacity hiking, camping, outdoor backpack at a reduced price.
