The ProTac Rail Mount HP-X Pro long gun light with remote switch from Streamlight is designed to give us illumination over long distances. It is made from top-quality materials, which ensures high performance even in extreme situations.
The body is made of machined 6000-series aluminium with an anodised finish. It has a BOROFLOAT glass lens that resists impacts and high temperatures and has an anti-reflective coating. Its white LED has an estimated lifespan of 50,000 hours.
It features a mount compatible with MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails and includes an adapter for mounting on M-LOK systems. The Jack-Cap tail cap incorporates a push-button switch and a connection for the remote switch, allowing us to operate the light from either of the two switches.
This model runs on one Streamlight SL-B26 rechargeable battery (included) or two CR123A lithium batteries (not included). Light output is the same with both options, although runtime varies depending on the power source used.
TEN-TAP programming lets us choose between three operating programs: high/strobe, high only or low/high, to adapt the available modes to our needs.
Lighting modes and runtime
- High mode: 800 lumens, 105,000 candela and 648 metres of range. Runtime of 2 hours with the SL-B26 or 1.5 hours with two CR123A.
- Low mode: 55 lumens, 7,600 candela and 174 metres of range. Runtime of 26 hours with the SL-B26 or 18 hours with two CR123A.
- Strobe mode: runtime of 3.5 hours with the SL-B26 or 2.5 hours with two CR123A.
With the remote switch installed, it is rated IPX4 against splashing water. Without the remote switch installed, it reaches an IPX7 rating, which allows immersion to 1 metre for 30 minutes.
The Protac HP-X Pro has a length of 14.3 cm, a head diameter of 3.5 cm and a height of 4.4 cm. Its weight with batteries is approximately 181 g with two CR123A or 198 g with one SL-B26.
This pack includes: remote switch, M-LOK mount, mounting clips, double-sided tape and cable ties to secure the switch and its cable.
