Access requirements CNP

In this post, we will try to clarify all the doubts you may have regarding access to the National Police Corps. We will explain the studies you need, how the physical tests are, how they are scored, and much more. Remember that if you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to leave a comment!

The requirements to apply for admission to the National Police Corps, Basic Scale are:

• Have Spanish nationality.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a minimum height of 1.65 meters for men and 1.60 for women.
• Be in possession of a high school diploma or equivalent (academic requirement published in the BOE no. 180 of 29-07-2015).
• Commitment to carry weapons and, if applicable, to use them, which will be provided through a declaration from the applicant.
• Not having been convicted of a willful crime nor separated from the service of the State or from the Autonomous, Local, or Institutional Administration, nor disqualified from exercising public functions.
• Be in possession of a class B driving license at the time of submitting the application.
• Not to suffer from any physical defect or illness that incapacitates for the performance of the position, in accordance with the medical exclusion table set out in Order January 11, 1988.
• Be in possession of a high school diploma or equivalent. (click here to see the equivalences) 

Those interested in applying for the positions reserved for TYM military personnel, in addition to the previously mentioned requirements, must meet and prove that they have five years of service at the time of submitting the application.

The opposition phase will consist of the following eliminatory tests: physical fitness (click here to see the physical tests), knowledge, medical examination, personal interview and psychotechnical test.

The candidates who pass the previous selection tests will join the National Police School (Ávila), where they will begin their training process, integrating into the career plan of the National Police.
