The Ultimate MC hydration bladder from the Israeli brand Source, with a 3-liter (100 oz) capacity, combines a low-profile design with technologies that make it easy to use and maintain. It was originally designed to integrate with U.S. Marine Corps FILBE gear, although it can be carried in any pouch compatible with its dimensions.
The reservoir is made from a multilayer polyethylene film with Taste-Free™ technology, which preserves the taste of the water without imparting a plastic taste, and is also free of BPA and phthalates. Its Glass-Like™ inner surface provides an especially smooth finish that helps reduce biofilm buildup. This technology is combined with Grunge Guard™, a treatment that inhibits bacterial growth on the surfaces of the reservoir and tube.
The wide opening with a Widepac™ sliding closure makes filling, adding ice, cleaning and emptying easy while providing an airtight seal. It also features a large NC fill cap, low-profile and operable with one hand, which fits the fill opening on FILBE gear and is compatible with commonly used personal filtration systems.
The 94 cm hydration tube has a Cool Weave sleeve that provides insulation and blocks ultraviolet light, helping keep the water cool. The Dirt Shield protector shields the mouthpiece from dirt. The system is compatible with Helix bite valves and Storm valves that open and close with a push-pull mechanism.
