UTS 11"® Shorts - Helikon-Tex

The UTS 11"® shorts by Helikon-Tex is the short version of the well-known Urban Tactical Pants®, designed to deliver comfort, durability, and tactical functionality on hot days. It retains much of the performance of the full-length UTP® pants, but with a cooler, more discreet cut suited to urban, professional, outdoor, or EDC use.

Made from PolyCotton Stretch Ripstop, it combines polyester, cotton, and elastane to provide good breathability, quick-drying performance, abrasion resistance, and two-way stretch. The ripstop weave reinforces the fabric structure and helps prevent small tears from spreading, increasing the pants' durability under heavy use.

Its low-profile cut lets you carry tactical gear without looking overly military. The pocket layout keeps the load close to the body's axis, around the hips and waist, improving comfort even when carrying EDC accessories, magazines, multitools, flashlights, or clip knives.

The UTS 11"® features 10 functional pockets: front pockets with reinforced edges, roomy back pockets with narrow inner compartments, thigh pockets with YKK® zippers, and front hook-and-loop closure pockets compatible with larger accessories, such as AR/AK-type magazines or smartphones. The hook-and-loop adjustable waist lets you adjust the pants by up to 6 cm (2.4"), while the wide belt loops are compatible with belts up to 50 mm (2"), including Cobra®-type tactical belts or the Urban Tactical Belt.

The UTS® (Urban Tactical Shorts®) by Helikon-Tex are the shortened version of the UTP® pants, designed to keep full tactical functionality even on the hottest days. They retain the low-profile cut, freedom of movement, and EDC organization of the full-length version, in a summer format.

Made from PolyCotton Stretch Ripstop, they combine cotton and polyester to deliver breathability and quick drying, with added elastane for two-way stretch during movement. The ripstop weave reinforces the structure and prevents any tear from spreading, increasing the garment's durability.

Their low-profile cut does not reveal the pants' tactical nature: tailored legs, a proper rise, and a rear yoke keep them from slipping and improve comfort during long wear. Even when loaded with gear, they maintain a clean silhouette, far from the look of classic combat pants.

It includes 10 functional pockets: two front pockets with reinforced edges for a knife, flashlight, or multitool; two front velcro-closure pockets large enough for a smartphone or an AR/AK magazine; two thigh pockets with YKK® zippers and two more with velcro for magazines or EDC accessories; and rear pockets (two wide outer and two narrow inner) for small items.

The waist is adjusted with hook-and-loop (up to 6 cm) and elastic tape at the back. The wide belt loops fit belts up to 50 mm —classic or tactical like Cobra®, UTL®, or EDC— and include additional loops for attaching gear without overloading the pockets.

How do you take your measurements?

1. Waist circumference: measure your waist without pulling the tape too tight or leaving it too loose.
2. Hip circumference: measure at the widest point of the hips, without pulling too tight or too loose.
