Silva Compass Expedition S

The Silva Expedition S compass is part of the Expedition series, globally recognized for its precision, reliability, and durability in demanding environments. It is designed for advanced users, mountain professionals, and any situation where exact navigation makes the difference.

The Expedition S version features a mirror sighting system, allowing for extremely precise long-distance bearings. It also includes the latest improvements in the line: slope card and lanyard with flexible scale, which make for quick and efficient work on the map.

Its construction integrates a high-grip Dryflex™ housing, non-slip silicone feet for accuracy on the map, magnifying lenses, scales in mm and inches, and compatibility with 1:25,000, 1:50,000, 1:40,000 maps and GPS scales. It features magnetic declination adjustment, including permanent local adjustment.

Night use and advanced sighting

Luminous markings allow you to work in low visibility conditions. The mirror sighting system includes 45° assistance, making it easier to take measurements in challenging terrain and improving accuracy over long distances.

Slope assessment and avalanche prevention

The slope card and integrated clinometer allow you to measure the terrain angle and assess areas at risk of avalanches. The lanyard with 1:25 and 1:50 scales, soft and flexible, lets you measure distances directly along the route marked on the map.
