Cobra PRO 50mm XL extra space buckle - AustriAlpin

The COBRA® PRO STYLE Aluminium 50 mm buckle, equipped with XL clips and extra space for thicker belts, is now fully compatible with police duty belts thanks to the 4 mm of extra clearance on each side.

Manufactured by the renowned Austrian maker AustriAlpin from premium quality aluminum, it is part of the COBRA® PRO STYLE range and offers a tensile strength of 9 kN and up to 18 kN in loop configuration when paired with a quality belt.

This safety buckle is one of the strongest on the market, thanks to its high breaking strength and patented locking mechanism. It is compatible with 50 mm wide belts and thicker models, such as the Defender belt from Helikon-Tex, the outer belt from Tasmanian tiger, or most duty belts used by police, Guardia Civil, and private security.

It features XL brass clips that allow for easy opening even when wearing gloves. Its adjustment bars eliminate the need for stitching, avoiding weak points and making it easy to achieve a secure and precise belt length adjustment.

The locking mechanism patented by AustriAlpin ensures maximum safety: both clips must be pressed simultaneously to open the buckle, making one-sided or under-tension release virtually impossible. The closure is confirmed by a distinctive click. In addition, the rear cutout of the COBRA® PRO STYLE buckle prevents the buildup of dirt, dust, ice, or snow, thus extending its service life.

The buckle is made of aluminum with KTL coating (cathodic dip coating) in black and weighs approximately 100 g. Like all Cobra® Pro Style models, it is designed and manufactured in Austria and has a registered patent.

The available space for threading the belt is 16 mm thick, allowing it to easily accommodate more robust belts such as those used by police.
