The FAST Wendy-type Asalto Helmet ballistic helmet from Ballistic Protection IV combines level IIIA protection, comfort and an adjustable fitting system for police and military use. It is made of aramid fibre, a high-strength material used in ballistic protective equipment.

It offers protection against handgun threats such as 9 mm FMJ, .44 Magnum JHP and .357 SIG. It also provides fragment protection: the NTS reference report records a V50 of 677.3 m/s with 17-grain fragment-simulating projectiles.

Its Wendy-type design includes a padded interior with cushions that promote comfort and help absorb impacts. The rear BOA-type adjustment system adapts the fit to the head circumference, while retention straps help keep the helmet stable during movement.

It features side rails for mounting compatible accessories, such as flashlights, communication systems or hearing protection, using the appropriate adapters. At the front, it includes a mount for NVG night vision devices.

The exterior loop Velcro surfaces allow attachment of identification patches, battery pouches, camouflage covers and other compatible accessories, adapting the helmet's configuration to the user's needs.

The reference ballistic documentation includes tests carried out in the United States and Israel. The NTS tests reference NIJ-STD-0101.06 level IIIA and NIJ-STD-0106.01, with the modifications stated in the report.

It is made in Mexico and has an approximate weight of 1.55 kg. It comes with a 5-year warranty against manufacturing defects and manufacturer-provided liability insurance of €3,000,000.
