Multi-curve level IV ballistic plates are designed to provide protection against rifle threats, including .30 caliber armor-piercing projectiles and 7.62 mm NATO FMJ ammunition.

These plates are Stand Alone, allowing them to be used without the need to add a soft ballistic panel (IWJ) as backing. The multi-curve design adapts to the anatomy of the torso, distributes pressure better, and provides greater comfort than a single-curve plate during extended periods of use.

The best option in terms of quality, price, and comfort is to use a multi-curve plate on the front and a single-curve one on the back.

  • Protection level: NIJ IV Stand Alone.

The silicon carbide (SiC) is a synthetic ceramic material composed of silicon and carbon. It stands out for its high hardness, approximately 9 on the Mohs scale, and for its ability to fracture and erode high-speed projectiles. Combined with UHMW-PE, it helps absorb and disperse impact energy while maintaining a balance between protection, weight, and thickness.

It is certified according to NIJ-0101.06. You can check the test reports here and here.

Ballistic equipment reduces the risk of injury, but does not guarantee absolute protection against all threats or circumstances. The plate should be inspected regularly and replaced after receiving an impact, sustaining a significant drop, or showing visible damage.
