Original TDI Knife - KA-BAR

The original KA-BAR TDI knife is designed as a last-resort personal defense weapon, especially for law enforcement personnel, although it can also be used by civilian users. Its compact size, lightweight, and ergonomics allow for a quick draw from the sheath, offering a firm grip.

Its design was developed by John Benner, the founder of the Tactical Defense Institute. Its ergonomic design features a fixed blade of the drop point type, measuring 58 mm (2.31″), made of AUS-8A stainless steel. Its construction is finished in one complete piece for greater robustness, and it also has a corrosion-resistant coating.

The handle is made of Zytel, a nylon resin reinforced with a non-slip texture, and includes a finger groove, improving grip even with gloves or wet hands.

It includes a molded polymer sheath with a reversible clip that allows it to be carried in various positions. The usual carry position is on the opposite side of the dominant hand. Its lightweight of just about 85 g (3 oz.) (knife) and its overall length of 143 mm (5.6″) allow for discreet carry.

The KA-BAR TDI Original is intended as a close-defense tool. Its design allows a natural grip similar to that of a pistol, so the user can make quick transitions between firearm and knife.
