The NVG binoculars BNVD-1431 from the Asian brand ARGUS offers in this renewed nvg MK2 glasses a very versatile modern device, with manual gain(manual gain tubes for better adjustment), low battery indicator and built-in IR illumination.
This brand became famous with the first generation MK1 BNVD as it gave many users the opportunity to own an articulating binocular nvg at a more economical price. The housings have been refurbished on this model and each is vacuum, positive pressure and nitrogen purge tested for water resistance.
They can be submerged up to 2 meters for 30 minutes. Binoculars are powered by a 4-pin Fischer battery pack. Helmet mount adapter NOT included.
This unit comes assembled with U.S. MILSPEC lensesHowever, other types of lenses can be mounted to reduce costs (OE), or RPO lenses, which are lighter but more expensive.
Each binocular is meticulously assembled, purged and tested one by one with precision tools. DThey must pass rigorous rigorous quality and strength tests.
Among many other tests, they are drop tested to meet MIL-STD-810G standards, which consists of 26 drops to a height of 1.22 meters (4 feet) onto concrete.
All intensifier tubes may have some imperfection in the image represented by spots of less than 0.3mm, usually there are only one or two visible imperfections, but these do not affect the vision as they simply blur with the image being viewed.
The FOM (Figure of metric) is a simple way to calculate the performance of a viewfinder, it is easily calculated by multiplying the resolution x the noise of the image we see through the viewfinder. The higher the FOM, the better the quality of vision.
Featuring Auto-Gating, this technology allows the device to automatically adjust the amount of light amplification in real time to adapt to changes in ambient brightness. This feature is particularly useful in situations where there are intense light sources, such as vehicle headlights or city lights, which could dazzle the device and affect image quality. This helps to maintain a clear and sharp image without compromising the user's vision in varying lighting environments.
They are available at WP or white phosphor, and GP or green phosphor.
