D-Ring Cobra PRO 18kN 50mm XL D-Ring Buckle - AustriAlpin

The D-RING COBRA® PRO STYLE 18kn aluminium 50mm D-RING with XL clips in MATTE BLACK ANODIZED color from the Austrian manufacturer AutriAlpin is an aluminum safety buckle with an integrated D-Ring, one of the most resistant on the market due to its resistance to breakage and its patented locking mechanism.

This Cobra buckle with D-Ring is part of the Cobra range of Pro Style 18kN buckles that are thicker and more resistant than those of the Pro Style rangecomplies with the standard ANSI Z359.12-2019 which ensures that it withstands at least 15kN of force at the buckle and 22kN at the D-Ring. However, the manufacturer guarantees 18kN of resistance.

It has the capacity to withstand 9kN tensile strength and 18kN in loop configuration when combined with a quality belt. This version of the COBRA® PRO STYLE is made for 50 mm wide belts and has XL size brass clips so that they can be easily opened, even with gloves.

The buckle adjustment bar on the male side eliminates the need for stitching, however, in the D-Ring area you will need to sew the belt or use some type of Velcro or similar adjustment. 

The buckle locking mechanism, patented by AustriAlpinThe locking system guarantees the security of the lock as we need to press both clips simultaneously to open it, which makes it possible to open it. unilateral release or release under stress are almost impossible. Locking of the buckle is confirmed by a distinctive "click" sound. The cutout on the back of the COBRA® PRO STYLE 18kN buckle prevents dirt, dust, ice or snow from accumulating on the buckle, which further increases its service life.

This buckle is made of aluminum with a matte black anodized finish. The buckle has a weight of 168 g. The AUSTRIALPIN D-RING Cobra® Pro Style 18kN 50mm is made in Austria and its design is patented. It is compatible with belts up to 50mm.
