SureFire EP4 plugs

EP4 earplugs protect your hearing without interfering with your ability to hear routine sounds or conversations. Its triple-chamber stem design fits larger ear canals and provides a noise reduction rating (NRR) of 24dB. Sounds, at safe levels, can pass into the ear canal, while potentially harmful noises (above 85 dB) are reduced by a patented design that incorporates a special filter to reduce noise. EP4s include attached filter caps, which can be inserted for additional protection and block noise such as that heard on an airplane. Made of a soft yet durable hypoallergenic polymer that provides all-day comfort and extended product life (up to 6+ months, depending on use and care). Its patented EarLock retention rings secure the earplugs, while the soft, adjustable triple-channel stems provide secure seals in the ear canals. A low-profile design means EP4s can be worn while wearing a helmet or mask, or when using a phone or headset.

They also serve as a headset for radio communication systems by simply removing the noise reduction filter and connecting the headset to the system.

NOTE: The EP4 headset no longer provides hearing protection once the noise reduction filter has been removed.
