Cobra PRO D-Ring Buckle 18kN 50mm XL - AustriAlpin

The COBRA® PRO STYLE 18kn aluminum 50mm D-RING buckle with XL clips and in MATTE BLACK ANODIZED from the Austrian manufacturer AutriAlpin is an aluminum safety buckle with an integrated D-Ring, one of the most resistant on the market due to its resistance to breakage and its patented locking mechanism .

This Cobra buckle with D-Ring belongs to the range of Pro Style 18kN buckles which are thicker and more resistant than those of the Pro Style range , it complies with the standard ANSI Z359.12-2019 which ensures that it withstands at least 15kN of force on the buckle and 22kN on the D-Ring. Although, the manufacturer guarantees 18kN of resistance.

It is capable of withstanding 9kN tensile strength and 18kN in loop configuration when combined with a quality belt. This version of COBRA® PRO STYLE is made for 50mm wide belts and has XL size brass clips so they can be opened easily, even with gloves.

The buckle adjustment bars on the male side eliminate the need for seams , however, in the D-Ring area we will need to sew the belt or use some type of Velcro adjustment or similar.

The buckle locking mechanism, patented by AustriAlpin , guarantees the security of the closure since we need to press both clips simultaneously to open it, which makes unilateral release or release under tension almost impossible . Buckle locking is confirmed with a distinctive "click" sound. The cutout on the back of the COBRA® PRO STYLE 18kN buckle prevents dirt, dust, ice or snow from accumulating on the buckle, further increasing its lifespan .

This buckle is made of aluminum with a matte black anodized finish . The buckle has a weight of 168 g. The AUSTRIALPIN D-RING Cobra® Pro Style 18kN 50mm is manufactured in Austria and its design is patented. It is compatible with belts up to 50mm.
