Surefire EP4 Earplugs

The EP4 plugs protect your hearing without interfering with your ability to hear routine sounds or conversations. Its triple chamber stem design fits larger ear canals and provides a noise reduction rating (NRR) of 24dB. Sounds at safe levels can pass into the ear canal, while potentially harmful noises (above 85 dB) are reduced through a patented design that incorporates a special filter to reduce noise. The EP4 includes attached filtering caps, which can be inserted for additional protection and block noise such as that heard on an airplane. Made from a soft yet durable hypoallergenic polymer that provides all-day comfort and an extended product lifespan (up to over 6 months, depending on use and care). Its patented EarLock retention rings secure the earplugs, while the soft and adjustable triple channel stems provide secure seals in the ear canals. A low-profile design means that the EP4 can be worn while using a helmet or mask, or when using a phone or headphones.

They also serve as headphones for radio communication systems simply by removing the noise reduction filter and connecting the headset to the system.

NOTE: The EP4 earplug no longer provides hearing protection once the noise reduction filter has been removed.
