The rechargeable MegaStream USB handheld flashlight from Streamlight combines powerful illumination with a compact format for everyday use. It has a machined aluminium body with an anodised finish and an impact-resistant polycarbonate lens.
It runs on a Streamlight SL-B34 3,500 mAh rechargeable battery (included), which we can charge via USB-C inside or outside the flashlight. The charging port is protected by a sliding metal cover. A full charge takes approximately 5 hours, with an LED indicator that shows red while charging and green when complete.
It has a tail switch that lets us use it with momentary or constant-on activation, and also lets us select between three brightness levels to adapt output and runtime to our needs:
- High mode: 1,800 lumens, 26,000 candela and 322 metres of range. Runtime of 2 hours.
- Medium mode: 500 lumens, 7,200 candela and 170 metres of range. Runtime of 3.5 hours.
- Low mode: 150 lumens, 2,100 candela and 92 metres of range. Runtime of 13 hours.
It has IPX7 protection, which allows immersion to 1 metre for 30 minutes with the charging cover closed. It has also passed drop tests from 2 metres.
The MegaStream USB has a length of 13.4 cm (5.3'), a body diameter of 2.8cm (1.1') and an approximate weight of 152g (5.4 oz.) with battery. It has a removable pocket clip that lets us attach it to a uniform, MOLLE panel, etc.
