The Holosun ARO EVO RD SPR red dot sight for long guns combines a compact design with a 26 mm optical window and a versatile reticle designed to aid target acquisition at different distances. Its 1x optic, without magnification, features multi-coated lenses and unlimited eye relief, providing a clear image and a wide view of the surroundings.

It is made from 6061 aluminum with a black hard-anodized finish, providing a lightweight, durable structure for demanding use. It features IPX8 water resistance and vibration resistance of 1,000 G. Its approximate dimensions are 73 × 43 × 69 mm and its weight is around 170 g with the mount, comprising approximately 122 g for the sight and 48 g for the mount.

It features the red SPR reticle —Special Purpose Reticle—, which combines a 1.5 MOA center dot, a 65 MOA circle, bullet drop compensation references of 1 MOA and range estimation marks. The fine dot provides a precise aiming reference, while the circle helps locate it quickly. Its BDC system is optimized for 5.56 mm M193 ammunition at 3,050 ft/s, approximately 930 m/s. Elevation and windage adjustments are 0.5 MOA per click, with a range of ±50 MOA on both axes.

It features automatic brightness adjustment via an ambient light sensor and manual control with 12 brightness levels: 8 daylight and 4 night-vision-compatible settings. The lockout mode prevents accidental changes to the controls, while the memory function retains the selected setting.

It is powered by a CR2032 battery, housed in a side tray that allows replacement without removing the sight from the firearm. It offers battery life of up to 50,000 hours at brightness level 6. Shake Awake technology switches off illumination after a period of inactivity and reactivates it when motion is detected, helping reduce power consumption. In addition, the Solar Failsafe system incorporates a solar panel that provides backup power when ambient light is sufficient.

It includes two Picatinny rail mounts: a raised mount of 1.63 inches —41.4 mm—, lower 1/3 co-witness type, and a low mount of 1.05 inches —26.7 mm—, allowing the sight height to be adapted to different configurations. Its Aimpoint Micro footprint expands mounting options, and its design allows use with compatible magnifiers, available separately. It is supplied with both mounts, a cleaning cloth and installation tools.
