The 6-pack .223 Rem / 5.56x45 mm Snap Caps firing pin protectors from Vector Optics are designed for safe handling, feeding, extraction, and dry-fire practice. These inert cartridges replicate the dimensions of real .223 Rem / 5.56x45 mm ammunition, making them easy to use in compatible magazines and mechanisms without containing a primer, powder, or projectile.
Made entirely from aluminum alloy, they feature a durable bright red anodized finish that makes them easy to distinguish from live ammunition. In the primer area, they incorporate a soft silicone disc that absorbs the impact of the firing pin during dry-fire exercises, helping protect the firearmās mechanism from repeated use.
These snap caps were designed from the start as completely inert cartridges, unlike other training cartridges made from real casings. Their durable construction makes them suitable for training sessions, function checks, or firearm storage. They also have a rear hole for attaching a cord or using them as an identification pendant.
Important: although these are completely inert cartridges, before any practice you should always make sure the firearm is unloaded and that there is no live ammunition in the magazine or in the work area.
